No, its not a dirty thread you perve.

I'm struggling with finding any decent fingering for this...

------------------------------------
---------15--------------15---------
---13-16---16-13---13-16--16-13----
-15--------------15--------------15-

Etc.

Its just... sooo awkward! Anyone reccomend me a way of playing this (Played as a fast repetitive pattern... shredish I guess). Found it in an example and its just annoying me.

Cheers!

-2-1-4-3-4-1....

Either use your 3rd finger for the 15th fret then 1st for the 13th, 4th for the 16th and 2nd for the 15th on B, or swap around your 3rd finger on the 15th for your 2nd finger and instead use your 3rd finger for the 15th on the B. I haven't got my guitar but that *feels* pretty comfortable :p

What are you learning?

An absolutely *ridiculous* "bach cadenza" by Paul Gilbert I found in an old copy of total guitar. It's stupidly hard (for me) but what was I expecting?

:D I love the way Gilbert adapts/plays classical music on the guitar (much better than RacerX stuff imo)

Just wish I could play. My limit is the tambourine :(

does total guitar not *advise* you on the best finger positions to use?

playing that i havent used my 2nd finger at all...

3-1-4-3-4-1

probably why i can never master stupidly fast stuff heh.

Whilst i am all for the use of the little finger i do not thing in this case that this would be a good fingering, since its very very hard to get good motor control over a 4 3 4 transition. I would say for a shred lick:
3-1-3-2-3-1-3

Aye after actually trying it with a guitar I find it easiest like that.

*Should* really use 4 fingers wherever possible though, but meh.
