Hey guys,

I got Guitar hero 3 for xmas on my 360, so far im loving it, i thought i'd start off slow so i went through the easy mode, with not much difficulty, i've since started normal and am struggling a bit :(

Not with the speed, just the darn blue button/note!

If i get those, i usually miss some green or red notes because im concentrating on getting the blue so much!

Any guitar hero pr0's here who could guide me as to what the correct way to tackle the blue button (and later on the orange button) with not much difficulty?

What's the best way to hold the guitar etc, should i use my little finger, or shuffle my whole hand?

I'm not a guitar player, so don't laugh! :p

Any help would be great, i hate not getting in the 90%'s :(

lol wait till you start doing expert, if your anythin like me then you'll be happy to pass it with what ever score.

it's all about tryin to blag your way to the end of the song somehow, strategically using star power just as your about to fail to get you a bit further :D

I know its not like a real guitar, but experience of using one helps i imagine just for having fingers that don't ache after using it! :p

Yeah Coke, i agree, i'll be just the same by then i imagine, at least for the first time through on it (if i ever make it through!)

to a point yeah, it helps to have a bit of dexterity in your hands, but aside from that playing an actual guitar doesnt really effect how you play this, at least not for me?

the best thing i can say is to just keep practising. my friend couldnt do the blue button at all, but after a few hours playing through the career on medium he was able to get the blue most times without messing up any other notes. just practise practise practise :)

Both. Use your little finger for single blue notes, but when a blue is in a chord with yellow or especially red, move your hand down a button. If you do this now on medium, you will thank me later!

Do that for fast paced sections involving blue but not for chords.

Agree completely with this for the red/blue chords but not so much for say the yellow/blue chord.

I find that I adapt to whatever song it is I'm playing. I mostly play the green/yellow, red/blue and yellow/orange chords with my first and third finger. However you will find that when you get good it will depend entirely on the song you are playing.
