Guitar Hero 3 Thread

Anyone here play this on PC. Big crowd in the consoles sections. Doesn't seem to be any official support for the PC game on the web. Is there any way of downloading or importing more songs?

We need some online coop, it's ace :D

As for your own songs its possible.see here. Appears to be 1 song at a time at the moment or it crashes but it does work, I was rocking to queen :p

thanks to uni net blocking everything i cant have an online profile :( had a mess about and am gonna play it on easy first even though i think it will be a bit easy but didnt get time to play due to lectures, will be on it all night though probably :D
 
Should make an official thread on it for PC section. We are finding the jump from medium to hard very challenging! Currently working our way through 5* on medium. Yet to try online (uni probably blocks it though).
 
Two more songs til I can fight lou on expert, raining blood has one bit which is ridiculously hard, the rest is easy, the solo in One is a joke aswell!
 
My thoughts

I have the game too, and I must say it is a lot of fun, and I am hoping that we can have a port of guitar hero 2 and maybe 1, seeing as there is now the hardware for the PC.

But I have found some issues such as sudden slowdown while playing even though I do have a beefy PC, which is annoying, and somehow I have done a lot better on the XBox 360 version hitting the notes than I ever do on the PC version, which is strange, it's like sometimes it doesn't register you hit the note.

Also when are we going to see the downloadable content that the consoles are getting, I want me some Foo Fighters? I have searched the internet, but there is no mention of this for PC anywhere.
 
I really like guitar hero 3. PLaying with keyboard though. This is creates problems when you get on hard mode. I'm pleased I got there though. Getting bored of the songs. I looked at frets on fire but its not half as good!!!

Have you tried this? Just followed instructions but nothing happens when i enter the cheat (tried unlock all songs)

EDIT - BTW this game has deffo been poorly coded! Everytime i start it up, it will play fine. Once i restart a song it will freeze for a second (right before a note etc) and then i will restart, will repeat this 2 or 3 more times and after that it will be fine until i restart the whole game!

This is on a 3Ghz C2D/3Gb/X1800XT/Vista 64
