Guitar Hero II Controller Question

I have the xbox 360 version of GH2 and my friend has the PS2 version. If I plugged the PS2 guitar into a PS2-USB adaptor and then into the 360, would the guitar work or would we need another 360 guitar? Pretty sure it won't work but just wondering if anybody knows.

Nope i tried it

i preffer the SG controller, but wouldn't work at all
