Hi

My Guitar Hero World Tour guitar on the PS3 seems to be faulty (strumming notes is not registering on some notes in diffrent songs, so I don't know if this is due to faulty frets or the strummer). I have submitted an RMA request through the Guitar Hero/Activision support website and it mentioned something about sending them the neck of the guitar along with a receipt.

I finished the RMA submission but nowhere has it told me along the way where I need to send the neck of the guitar and the receipt, so basically my question is, for anyone that has RMA'ed a Guitar Hero instrument, how do you send them the requested part and is the receipt the store receipt when I bought the item?

Thanks for your help.

the receipt is to prove the purchase date (the warranty period is 6 months iirc)

try emailing them asking where you should send it as they've only started asking for neck and receipt recently

You don't have to send anything off that's the reson most ppl don't pay for their instruments. I don't know anyone who's bought them, every one I know just sent off for an rma n got the whole lot for free.
Me on the other hand preffer rock band stuff so I had to buy all mine :(

a few days ago, they started asking for receipt plus the neck of the guitar. where as before, you could send off an RMA and gain a guitar for free

I applied for the drumkit USB adapter thing to alter the sensitivity of the pads coupla of month back, not received anything, have since got rid of drums. :(

One thing I have just come across though is that they ask you to provide the receipt for the purchase of the game and I got mine last Tuesday at a certain supermarket that were selling off old stock for very cheap (and the deal has been up on a major UK deal website since Monday which is where I found out about it).

Basically what I'm getting at is that my receipt for the World Tour band kit basically just says 'PS3' and the price I paid '£39.99' and doesn't actually say anything about the game itself, so the receipt could be for any £39.99 PS3 game in reality. So if I do send this in with the neck of the guitar will they still send me a replacement?
