Guitar Tabs?

I dont use guitar pro or any of the other other midi tools like that, i find them far too cumbersom slow and annoying, forcing you to move at their pace rather than your own. ASCII tab and your own ear is the way to go. I used to use mxtabs but that went the way of the fish with the scum bag music industry holding onto archacic greedy fat pig values. As has already been linked Ultimate-tab is quite a good one, other than that, maybe try and have a listen yourself?

I'd recommend giving Guitar Pro a go, despite your experiences of them.

If you dont bother with the Realistic Sound Engine ((a)RSE) then it'll play midi quite contently without hogging system resources. Then if you get rid of all the creation toolbars and just leave the Play/Stop buttons then it's really quite a cinch to use. The fact that you can download X thousands of tabs for it means it's really quite a useful resource...
