Hi.

I'm in need of a hobby. I spend most of my time listening to music, so i suppose a good hobby would be to learn how to play. Now a friend of mine says that you have to find the instrument that suits you, which would be drums . But i dont think i could afford that. So im planning on learning the guitar. So basically i need help on picking a cheapish, beginners electric guitar. I'd say my bugdet is about 200quid, as im going to learn to drive soon. Links of guitars and tutorials on how to play would be apprechiated.

You should probabaly have a read through the sticky.

A fairly reputable online retailer is GAK which i believe have starter kits, I've ordered off them 4 or 5 times in the past with no problems, not a bad place to look. As for learning how to play, google is your friend. Also if you have any dvd rental service subscriptions, theres lots of guitar tutorial dvds you would find useful.
