I have finally decided to start making some sort of effort to sell my images and so have just submitted my first 4 images to Alamy for QC testing. I must admit I'm actually slightly nervous about them being accepted as they seem to have a lot of terms for image submission!

I'm glad they finally have an upload facility now as it was the idea of posting cd's out that made me a little reluctant in the past...would have hated it if a cd full of high res images went missing!!

Does anyone else here use Alamy and if so, do you put your images in as royalty free or one of the other useage rights?

Can take up to 25 days for QC to go through so I may have a bit of a wait on my hands now...

I wouldn't worry about any of your images passing QC, theres some truly awful pictures on Alamy if you look lol..

I've been thinking of putting some of mine on recently, just got to get round to it,

Ive got a grand total of... 4 images on Alamy. I put them up to pass the QC test, allowing me to upload images when I want. I really need to put more up. I wouldn't woprry about it too much, as long as the image is clean from dustspots and is nice and sharp it will be fine. Can't remember what liscencing structure I chose.

Probably more chance of selling them outright I'd have thought. At least that's what I read in an old copy of professional photographer a few months ago.
