Anyone here going to see them in the next week? I'm going to see them at Brum. Seen them 5 times before in the early 90's, not expecting them to be as good as they were back then, and hoping they can find the stage on time for once. At £50 a ticket its extortionate, but have fond memories of them. Roll on tuesday! :D

Saw them at Brixton academy a month or so ago - came on about 2 hours late, took the **** and then the guitarists decided they were gonna **** on their guitars after 2 songs and then repeatedly throughout the set.

I must say, when they playing their songs it was good, but Axel's a **** and their guitarists are all self-obsessed *****. The very fact that coming on 2 hours late meant we had to get a £100 taxi home meant we werent impressed.

ive been really tempted to go, what with it being my birthday tomorrow n all. at download no matter how much people ripped on them i thought what they played was awesome!
and at their own gig as sound check will be done so much better than at download it would be better.
but i couldnt fathom £50 for it.

Man, at Brixton... woah... not only the loudest band I've ever heard, but they honestly sounded better than their studio stuff. Dont get me wrong, they ****** me off, but when Welcome to the Jungle came on as their first song... HOLY MOLY that was good.

Just the self-indulgent abuse on the guitars and the lateness relaly got to everybody.

Yeah, I agree Axl is the biggest knob in music, and no doubt he will make everyone wait again (saw them at maine road and he deliberately came on late to pee the council off) but as I said before they put on a great show and they might never play again. As for Slash not being there.. well you can't have it all can you?

could never watch them without slash im afraid

They weren't very good when they lost Izzy Stradlin'. Saw them at Maine Road and Wembley probably the 2 worst gigs ive been to.

Infact the only 2 gigs ive been to where the support bands were better, Soundgarden, Skid Row, Faith No More...

Saw them last night in the SECC- they were great... Possibly one of the best gigs i have been to!!! THey came on late- but played an outstanding set which lastedf over 2 hours.

Moments that stand out were-
Izzy Stradlin showed up for a few songs.
Lots of explosions.
Welcome to the jungle.
Rose' voice was better live than on the cds.

Do you have any pics of the gig? I didn't know Axl and Izzy were friends again.
