Over the past few days i've been watching the Steam One-Day-Only sale with a heavy heart. Have seen at least 5 games that I want to buy but the damn sale finishes before my wages drop into my account tomorrow, why the hell did they have this sale at the end of the month. I know there is already a thread about the steam deals but I needed to vent, I bet there are others in the same boat.

EDIT: Just realised I have over £450 overtime being paid this month as well *cries*

If you got £450 to blow why are you so bothered about saving like... what? A tenner?!

I'm guessing becuase he has no money auntil tomorrow available to him for online purchases.

Anyway there's definately been a few tempting offers, but in the end I've only gone for L4D for £6ish.

So until you are paid you have no money? How can you live like that.

I would just borrow from a relative, use their card to buy your stuff and give them the cash tomorrow if you really want the deals that are up today. Or just dip into your overdraft, it won't be the end of the world will it? :)

picked up the THQ complete pack for £26.49 for 18 games, good deal

borrow some money or get an overdraft?

I haven't got £450 to blow, it's just that if they held off on the sale for a week, I could have got about 5 games that I can't afford to just get without thinking about what spare money I have. I had to work damn hard for that extra cash and not about to waste it on 5 full priced games, 5 x 50%/66%/75% games is another matter entirely.

I do have money, it's not money that I can blow on games though, last week of the month is always tough.

I don't spend money I don't have on principal, that's why I won't borrow, same with an overdraft. Might seem silly to some but it's just the way I like to be, can't get into debt that way :)

I am the same, dont like to spend money i dont have. But doesn't your credit rating get better if you reliably borrow and repay money?

Yes, that's true, I have a credit card for that purpose, I maybe do 1 or 2 transactions a month that get paid off immediately at the start of the month. However I just moved 4 weeks back so that card has been maxed out with various bits and bobs over the last few weeks, out of character for me, but needs must!
