modern society eh, wonder what people did back in the says when deo wasnt a thing and people bathed regularly at least once a year

HODOR!
Worked in a team with 2 guys who had no personal hygiene - one was a guy who was fairly rotund and honestly had a miasma of stale sweat with curry spice around him; the other was a 55yr guy who was a manic depressive. You couldn't stand to be around either for long as you'd literally be gagging after a few minutes.
What kind of shower is a shower if it takes mere 5 minutes to have this shower? No wonder people out there still; smell even though they've obviously had a change of clothes and seemingly showered!
Probably too embarrassed to turn up again. I brought him into the office and only told him and HO(well and my then girlfriend). No one else knew so it shouldn't have been an issue. Well I mean no one else knew why he was sent home everyone knew he stunk!
Possibly the most awkward conversation I've had lol.
To be fair we even had a shower in the office so its not like he could claim he didnt have access to one.

I bet, I'm a fairly keep myself to myself/don't rock the boat kind of person in general but after nearly 20 years of working I've a low tolerance for people who repeatedly inflict bad BO on co-workers.
Some people genuinely only bath once a fortnght or something similar. Not everyone has moved onto the daily shower. twice a day shower fashion yet.
Also washing your clothes at 30c all the time doesn't get the smelling causing bacteria out.

This doesn't surprise me. But once a fortnight is an awfully long time to go without a shower. Imagine what your bits must smell like.

.In my previous job I gave employment advice and some of the people that came in had body odor that just made you feel physically sick and you had to tell them straight. Some cases it's a medical condition but even then there are things they can do about it.
Often though it's just a lack of hygiene and alcohol abuse.

I once had to tell someone about not washing their hands after going to the toilet, regardless of what he went in there to do. Especially since he would make drinks for people when he was having a cuppa.
Nothing worse than not washing hands, it takes a minute.
In my current work place when im in the bathroom it must be a 3rd of people that dont wash hands.

Don't people have shower facilities at work? Could be one way to solve the problem if the guy is really smelly.
Luckily I've not had a problem with people smelling of BO at work, some people's breath though...
Most smelly people seem to be on a train, in summer, and it's packed
I remember this guy at school who used to smell like raw chicken. I'll never forget how fowl the smell was.

Worst I've had is one guy who had serious halitosis. You could smell it from feet away.
Still, it was just... "him". It was a small office and we were good enough people not to make a deal of it.
