So..

I got a 27" thunderbolt apple display from work.

How an earth do I connect this to my PC?

I have a 780ti, and I have connected the display port in that to a an adapter to make it mini displayport. I thought connecting that would link the monitor to my card.. It doesn't seem to power on.

How are some of you using this monitor for windows.

Cheers..

The 27 inch thunderbolt display is powered on when your computer is powered on. Try turning your PC off and back on again (lol).

If that doesn't solve it, it could be the adapter. I have a 2010 MBP with mini DP that I connect to a 27" DGM without problems using a straight mini DP to DP cable. It's not thunderbolt though.

I did a bunch of research last night. Conclusion is that the Thunderbolt Display will not work with any output on a PC bar another thunderbolt output :( I've ordered the MSI g45 apparently this connection and virtu MVP are the only way to get it to work. I hear there is no performance penalty. Will let you know how I get on...
