Just building a new Server for Windows 2003...
All brought last week from OcUK.

Antec 650w PSU (Titan Case)
Intel Xeon 3200 Series X3210
Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz
Asus P5K Deluxe WiFi Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
BFG 6200 PCI-E Graphics Card

All rigged up pressed power button all fans spin up then nothing. Black screen, does not post.

So making sure everythings plugged in e.t.c. Keep trying, moving Ram in different slots, re-seat processor e.t.c. ...and finally posts! Great. Processor all detected e.t.c. So turn off then turn on again (nothing changed...) No post. At all.

I managed to get it booting one more time but never since. All powers up but no post or display.

Swapped the following...

  • E4300 CPU, Know working processor
  • My Ram (Same as above, currently working no problems at all)
  • My Graphics Card, 8800GTS. (Know working)
  • PSU, Known working pulled from another rig.

The board has just the bear bones connected, like PSU, Graphics, ram and processor. I have cleared the C-MOS almost everytime.

Any ideas before I send it back guys?

looking at the items you have changed it kinda points towards the mobo, if you only bought it last week i would suggest RMA the motherboard and see if they all work and if not ....... im out of ideas apart from RMA everything :p
