(can't see a thread for this) Anyone in the closed beta for this? You're allowed to discuss it, stream it and post screenshots so no NDA for this one. Had a play this morning and it's good fun. I don't know if it's going to be free to play (it has card packs for sale) but I can see myself dabbling with this if it is.

Well it's pretty much what you know and love from The Witcher but with some Hearthstone-y stuff added (in the form of deck building, scrapping and constructing cards, getting packs etc) I'm not sure how much longevity there will be in terms of deck variation etc I guess that will come with time but it's fun for a few games here and there.

It occurred to me that I'd love a physical copy of this game, then it occurred to me how would you track the strength value of cards, then it occurred to me how on earth do they track them in the witcher universe?

Thoughts with Shami.

I thought that initially but tbh you get enough materials to create a few golds quite quickly (I already have 4 golds and 6 silvers) Can't say I've had any games where I've got trashed by a deck that looks bought.

I think there are a couple of unbalanced cards (Northern has the Reinforced Trebuchet that is just ridiculous at the moment) to be expected with a beta though.

Monster is the easiest deck to build up a quick, competitive deck but the others are far stronger once you start getting better cards.

I was really looking forward to playing this but wish I hadn't bothered now. I just cannot seem to be able to win a game at all. The odd round here and there I can do but I'm vastly underpowered after round 1. I suppose they want you to pay for the kegs to get the best cards.

Not really, good cards can be acquired very cheaply with the ingame currency.

Got my beta key a couple of hours ago, and I just uninstalled. No, that isn't a typo. The game is horribly random and whoever plays the most gold cards wins.

There is a deck limit of gold cards and a few cards that counter them. It's more complex than that.

You playing much Shami?

I haven't played recently no, saw they released the new deck so I might try it again.
