I am in the market for a new card but was wondering with the new 700 cards coming out today will the 600 drop significantly in price or will they stay the same?

i was looking at the 670 but do not want to buy a card 2day then come on tomorrow and see it is £50 cheaper .

any help would be appreciated.

I would imagine they might drop once the 770 and 760 are released to get rid of end of line stock.

But seen as the 770 is going to be in the 680 price bracket, the drops might not be much.

at a guess it won't drop much in price

I think they'd rather have unused stock than effect sales of the 760/770

but thats just in my opinion - prob wrong

what do you get more profit from ?

(1) selling lots of an older product at cut down price to get rid of stock and some of a new product

(2) selling smaller amount of a newer product at full RRP ?

:(

otherwise - if 680s say were super cheap - would people buy 770s ? same for 760/670

Well, if you are selling 680's for the same price as 770's you will never sell your 680's because everyone would just buy the newer version wouldn't they. That is why , if you want to sell off the remaining 680/670 cards that you have, you would have to drop the price of them to make them seem more appealing compared with the newer 760's/770's.

So im going to get a 670 4gb 2day then when they come down im buying a 2nd 670 4gb . Sounds good to me and that will do me for a year r 2 .

thx all for the help

In Denmark prices on GTX 670 4GB have dropped to around £290, if they get cheaper really depends on what the price for GTX 760Ti is going to be.

ooh nice - I think I'd prefer for sub 300 a GTX670 4gb than for similarmoney a 770 (depending on how good it is)

just like the thought of that extra VRAM should it be needed in the future

Will the 670 2gb ftw last me a while would you guys say? might get a second sometime end of this year for sli

It will still give you superb performance in 1920x1080/1200 and 2560x1440 if you skip using high anti-aliasing settings (max 2xAA/ FXAA)
