GXT14 Gaming Mouse Help

Just gone out and brought a mouse as my old 1 was on it's last legs, and thought I would go for the GXT14 Gaming Mouse, manufacturer is Trust.
I put the CD in, install the software, says it went through successfully and to reboot. Reboot my system, plug the mouse back in, it says unidentified device and to install the drivers which I did, from the manufacturer's website and then I get this:

I have uninstalled the software but still having the problem.
Rang the place I got it from, to be told 'not much I can do for you over the phone, you'll have to bring your system down to use tomorrow'
No advice, no nothing, and I want to get it working now, any advice / help would be a great help.

I would suggest the mouse is knackered.

Even without any drivers installed the mouse should work in some fashion.

If it's the basic GXT14 these can be bought for about £7.

I suggest you get your money back and buy something better quality.
