Jus starting back at the gym after bit of a lay on and looking at increasing cardio and stamina. I'm 39 and going every other day and do about 75 mins.

Currently doing the following.

Spin bike for 50 mins on level 6 random hill
Cross trainer for 20 mins on level 10 random hill
1000 metre row
5 mins on treadmill (not much of a runner and will add a minute every week)

No breaks apart from quick drink of water

Any thoughts on whether its to easy or ok

I see what you mean but aim was to do above till it got easy and increased time or intensity
Just looking to increase cardio at the start to get general fitness back to a decent level before adding weights. Used to do weights revulgar so fairly strong and well built but cardio is poor. Also used to do ju jitsu 4 times a week but stopped due to work and tried again to start up but found it hard with fitness so want to get fitness back up and start back.

I'd be bored senseless doing 75 mins of cardio indoors!

I would agree that mixing it up with some weights would help in the long term.

You also need to drink more water 75 mins solid and a "quick drink" isn't healthy

Thanks. Quite enjoy it actually as have busy stressful job at times and I find it relaxing on the bike plus cycle quite a bit on warmer times so the spin bike should help with that come warmer months.
Do you think I'd be better reducing cardio time and adding some weights as well?

Even if you want to stick with cardio for now, you will likely get greater improvements from higher intensity work over the long session you describe - unless you're really looking to build that kind of stamina over and above cardiovascular fitness. Have a look at HIIT cardio routines.

Thanks mate. The gym do insanity and hitt sessions which I want to try just want to got fitness to a certain level thati want be completely blowing out of my bum when I do it.
