Hi, :)

I am a regular gym rat and want to start changing my work out Soutine.

What am would like is a Android App of weight resistance techniques in video form for reference.

Which App’s should I be considering

Many thanks

There was one I found but then I came to realise that it was either:

a) self-explanatory, i.e back lever (;))
b) wrong (how a lot of people do things is generally wrong)

So. Get yourself to YouTube, look up a dude called Eric Cressey and watch how he rolls.

Remember, believe it or not but you are different to the people in the videos and - as such - you will move differently. Most compound movements have generic cues (sit back, knees out, whatever) but most need tweaking or even re-working to get them right. I had to be taught to snatch and clean in a bizarre way because I was otherwise even more useless than I am now. :)

What lifts are you interested in?

I was going to start with Snatch to Overhead squat.
As I like to mix up my work out routine.

plus there is one Zejax excerise with the pole upright and you hold on to the pole hand at each end. So you are like a flag on the pole.

Unless you have experience as a lifter and an experienced weightlifting coach, snatch to overhead squat is not something you do to "mix things up..." :)

Human flag is all over YouTube, too, so...

The snatch to squat is a difficult technique for sure to get right, let alone to do it quick ! :(

Plus I am aways looking for new exercises to stop the routine workout chore !:(

Snatch deadlift is a great intro to the misery that accompanies weightlifting. :)

And then a straight up overhead squat (not a massive fan myself, but they serve a very specific purpose...).

If you want to "mix it up a bit" then try the above as well as:

- thrusters
- planche
- Klokov press
- deficit Bulgarian split squats (Lolz)
- push press

This is not a bad list to be getting on with ! ;)
