h 10 iriver and media player 10 ?

hi guys i just bought a h10 it comes with window media 10 is this the best system for this unit or will it run on another ? i have used cheaper units with out operating software just d/loaded from pc onto mp3 , so any advice would be welcome or do i have to use wm10.

iv loaded wm10 on the pc the manual says that it would only work with windows but that may be a red herring , on a side issue how do you get the file names on the h10 as i do a load of say 180 songs and there is no info as to what it is ?

if i load tracks onto the h10 and go to play them all i can see is a track number and length of song but no artist name or track name any ideas
