Hi guys, I'm bored with my Thermolab Baram. It is too big and ugly in my 902.
Would I see much of a difference in temperatures with the H-50? And has anyone here had experience of fitting one into a 902?

Cheers.

Apparently the Baram is a better cooler than the H50 so expect a little extra on your temps. Plus the pump can vibrate sometimes on the H50 and the default fan is usually switched, does that mean it's rubbish? If you are that bored go custom water, that'll look awesome in your case.

I was just thinking about custom water. Will the whole watercooling thing fit in my case? I must admit I know absolutely nothing about watercooling.

I have the Baram on my 965 and its currently idling at 22 and 45 on full load after several hours. Mighty cold outside but heating is on. Fantastic cooler. Why change it?

What are your temps?

Whats your room temp?

You sure the cooler is sitted properly ?
What thermal paste did you use if any?
Hows your case airflow?

Definitely too high, that's the temp I'd expect with stock cooler.

Room temp is normal, thermal paste was Zalman super thermal grease, case airflow is pretty good (Antec 902) and I presume its seated properly otherwise all hell would break loose.

Yeah but he is overclocking the chip which means more heat. my 965 at stock on full load gets to about 43/45 dependant on room remp. I imagine an overclock would take that a few degrees higher.

I fitted a front intake to my antec 300, that already had two exhausts and a 120mm fan on the baram and temps only lowered a few degrees at best.

The baram comes with another set of clips so could mount a second fan to it in pull but I wouldn't be worried about those temps personally.

Just re-seated and reapplied thermal paste and temp is 35c idle. Maybe it's just a rubbish cooler. Tempted by the H-50 or the Zalman round thing.

My Baram has my 965 which is OC'd to 4Ghz idling at 34' (heating been on all night) and maxes out at 49' under load. Got a single Noctua fan pushing the air and Arctic Silver TIM. You should be able to get lower temps than you have posted. :)
