As you may remember, I bought a Megan H-Brace a while back, and it had been sitting in my garage waiting to be fitted since. The reason I didn't get round to fitting it was because people have had clearence issues with 4-1 exhaust manifolds like I've got, and I just couldn't be arsed with messing about with it.

This-morning I thought I would just offer it up and see what I need to do to it, but to my surprise it fits fine. It's tight, but it fits. The only pain in the ass was the fact that I had to elongate the two rear holes as they didn't quite pick up on the bolts, but that done it fits like a glove

Here's a crap pic of it fitted, you can see how close it is to the exhaust:

I haven't driven it yet, I'll report back later to let you know how much of a difference it has made, if I can find any dry roads that is

Yep, just makes everything stiffer and more taught. People who have fitted them say that steering feel and turn-in are improved.

How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

I got it from the states, it worked out at ~£50 delievered.

Didn't you get the Integra to be cheaper and simple. You seem to be modding it at the same rate as your previous cars! ;)

I can't help myself :(

Needs a new bonnet as next mod :p

TBH it just needs re-laquering, but yeah it'll be getting done soon.

Your bones are going to shatter! Do you have coilovers too?

Yep, coilovers with stupidly stiff springs. If I'm honest the SiR would probably be quicker on a bumpy B-road as it was that much more compliant, but this car should be just awesome on track

Championship white has a habit of looking mismatched in pics, it's an 'off white' and looks like that under certain light and angles. There's no mismatch when you look at it in the flesh.

The brace has made a noticeable difference, steering is sharper, and turn-in is improved with the front feeling more responsive and eager to change direction. It's awesome

That is the most photoshopped looking real pic I think I've ever seen.

That's exactly what I thought when I first looked at the pic. Weird

Bonnet looks good in those pictures, whats up with it?

The bonnet looks good in those pics because they were taken when it was new, its faded and scratched now :(

cool stuff. you got your cams sorted out yet?

It'll be getting the cams tuned along with mapping in about two or three weeks time.

Most of them are more decorative than functional IMO. Anything with a bend in it is compromised in it's function to start with.

What would be the point of a decorative item slung underneath the front end where nobody will ever see it?

I see where you are coming from WRT the bends, but trust me, I have noticed a difference, as have others who have fitted them too :)
