i have red an article somewhere on a psu that fits into ** hd rack to ryn gfx psu supply straight out of the socket on the wall(mains):)
can anyone tell me will these things run a 8800 640 mb cARD OK :)
 
If you mean this , then i don't think it will power the GTS, as according to the review on there (selected from the options on the right) the 8's are not certified on them in SLi, and seen as they only have just over 10amps on each of their rails, which is far to low even for a single GTS, i doubt they could power one GTS even on its own, as they need about 28a on the 12v rail, im not 100% sure on if they won't be able to power a single GTS though, i just can't see it as the amperage is to low, will only be feeding just over 10a to it which is far to low as said, unless they can take some power from your normal PSU as well, anyway if theres anyone who does know, im sure they'll let you know. :)

You would be best of replacing your own PSU with a more powerfull one to power the GTS anyway if its not powerfull enough, like this here

Point of View have something similar and is capable in supplying 25a on the 12v. Have a look at this link
