H10 Problems

My sister's just got herself a 6GB H10 Photo and as much as it looks nice, it doesn't work. It just won't connect to the PC at all and I've tried everything. There seems to be a way of getting it to connect by holding a button down whilst turning it on, but when you transfer the music onto it that way, it doesn't list it under the music section of the player so you can't search by artist/album/etc.

Anyone else had the same problem and found a way around it? I can't believe iriver would sell a product that's so rubbish.

The 'read only' and 'hidden' trick with the files didn't sort out the music listings for me. Using EasyH10 to rebuild the database works though. Any ideas why this thing won't connect via MTP? I even installed their WMP10 over my own copy to see if that'd detect it, but no such luck.

Although I hate WMP10, so using the UMS trick is probably better for me and my sister anyway.
