Hi all.

I have a H100. One of the refurbished models offered by OCUK last year. Up until today everything has been great. Been getting idle temps of 25-30 degrees with my i5 3570k overclocked @ 4.4GHZ.

Today I decided to replace the old radiator fans with x2 SP120 quiet edition fans in my new Corsair 540 Air. I am fully aware that I can no longer control the speed of the fans. At first all was well. Temps were around the same at first but are now idle at around 50 degrees. I moved the hoses around a little bit and they went back down again to a nice 25 degrees.

Is there a problem with the watercooler? An air bubble or something? Or is it the Sp120s?

Thanks,
Alex.

Interesting. May I ask you a question does cpu cooler make good contact with cpu itself? Fan is less likely but you can check. Also you said that you moved hoses a little bit and temps return to previous one this looks like there could be a air bubble inside. If it's still on warranty contact OCUK if not I'm afraid you would have to purchase another cooler if you worried about temps as these all in one sealed liquid coolers are hard to fix if possible.

P.S. I transplanted everything from my old 300R. Keeping the CPU cooler inplace. Is it worth me trying to reseat it? It hasn't moved though.

The pump periodically makes a ticking noise as well now.

EDIT: Just turned the case on it's side and let it run for 10 minutes. Now the temperatures are normal again. Strange ...
