What's the difference between SP and AF fans?

SP = Static Pressure (usually better for rads, depends on the fan and rad though), AF = Airflow, better used for case fans.

I use Akasa Apache blacks with mine. They are not the quietest at full pelt, but move a lot of air quietly at low rpms.

I use x2 Corsair SP120mm Quiet Edition fans. You won't be able to control the speed of the fans anymore however they are a lot quieter than the stock fans.

Noiseblocker BlackSilent Pro PK3 is a good choice as well.

I use Gentle Typhoons on my H80. Still can't believe they are discontinued . Would go for the SP120's I think if I was buying now.

You won't get better performance than the stock fans, less noise maybe but not better temps. Spend money else where.

I use Gentle Typhoons on my H80. Still can't believe they are discontinued . Would go for the SP120's I think if I was buying now.

I use GTs too. So they still stack up well against the latest fans it seems.

I've got 2 Alpenfohn Wingboost 2 PWMs on mine and there difference between the stock fans and these is simply the noise. Temps are unchanged with my 2500k @ 4.5ghz.

The NB-eloop fans seem like a good choice with a black and white theme. I use the NB silent black fans as front airflow fans and they are very quiet.

Hijack: looking for replacement fans for my H100i. Are the Noctua NF-F12 3000RPM ones a good option? Seems like they have very high CFM.

Was after Scythe GTs but looks like they are gone now sadly.

They do have very high CFM but thats only at full pelt which is loud. Ive used the redux ones at 1200rpm on my water-cooled system and they're not too loud at all.

On my h100i currently using sp120 quiets and they're really good - 4790k at 4.6Ghz doesn't go above 60C when gaming

Same here on my [email protected]. Temps 60c after a good gaming session with fans running 70%

4 pin!

I would also add that the stock fans are mint if you setup a custom curve in Link!

I'll be putting the 600t case fan controller on the fans. Not sure what they fan controllers are...3 or 4 pin though :/ Ballache trying to get the case out and opened at the back without all the leads spilling out. Anyone know before I have to go open the case lol?
