H100

I was wondering can a H100 be used passively on a stock i5 3570k? The case it would be put in is a Corsair 750D.

Does it make a massive difference having fans on the H100?

At the moment I've got a pair of Corsair SP120 quiet editions but it still seems to loud for my liking as preferably Id want it silent.

Any advice would be appreciated!

You will need some airflow through the rad - there are some fans like the akasa apaches that are pretty much silent on minimum speed but still provide enough airflow you can keep a CPU within reasonable temperature limits. Also you will get some degree of pump noise with watercooling.
