Hi, I have just updated the Corsair link software from v2.4.5110 to v2.6.5214, now the firmware version was 1.0.5 and I think after updating the new link software it has updated the firmware to 1.0.7, problem is the LED colour on the block no longer saves, I can change it to the colour I want and it will retain that colour after a restart but it reverts back to the default colour after a cold boot.

Having read round on the Corsair forum people are saying they having the same problem with firmware v1.0.7 and going back to v1.0.5 will solve it. I have tried to get the download link for the older version but can't find it anywhere. Has anyone here had this problem? Also if any knows of a link to download firmware v1.0.5 I would be very grateful. Just for the record system restore didn't resolve it either, I guess because it was a firmware update. Also it appears Corsair have removed the firmware update link.

Thanks in advance.

Probably best off asking in the Corsair forum. With the H100i series its best to leave it well alone if it works i find. Nice coolers but i had to send three back with led problems. Using a H110 now and its slightly cooler and has no led at all so no issues. :D

Yup, I should have left it be, I always say if it aint broke don't fix it, just need to practice what I preach more lol. Am hoping the Corsair rep I think is greybeard or something like that will respond here.

That Corsair 110 is nice but I fear I would also have to buy new 140mm fans too as I hear the stock fans are a little noisy when spun up and I've just invested in two 120mm Corsair SP performance fans for the H100i. So the Corsair logo doesn't light on the 110 then? Thanks for reply.

No light on the H110. Its not as blingy, but it works as intended. The fans on the H110 are a lot, lot quieter than the H100i. They're unbranded 140MM fans, so not AF140's. You can hear them at full whack, but they are a lot quieter than the stock H100i fans. Four pin pwm as well so plug them into your mobo then you can auto control them using Q control in the Asus bios. Standard speed is very quiet imo. The fitting mechanism feels a lot more sturdy and secure on the H110 as well.
