h100i /Haswell & EK-TIM Indigo Xtreme

That's TIM - Thermal Insulation Material - and as far as I'm aware there is no compatibility issues with what is, effectively, paste.

Sorry, just read the product properly... although it still looks like paste, I'll let someone who's used it answer ;)

Indigo Xtreme doesn't come in tubes - it's a one off, time consuming application (but with 3-5c lower temp that any other TIM)

And you need the correct one (it's the only TIM that is platform dependant)
I know the cooling holes are the same as 1155/6.
But it the IHS size that's key - if they are the same then it can be used.

Edit: looks like it has a thinner IHS (Z height) but all dims are identical to 1155 so it will work.

trouble is you have to heat it up,run without cpu fan if I remember right to set the thermal pad, which tbh I wouldn't like to do

If its like the coolaboratry pad I used, it will etch away the CPU's markings and make a mess of the H100i copper base.

No, this looks like its designed to set quickly into a thin metal sheet, like tinfoil that's molded to the contours between your cooler and cpu.

I have never used one so I can't tell you how good they are when used with the H100i cooler.

Why even use that? the cooler itself has a very good pre applied TIM already on the cold plate.
