So quick google shows this is an issue with many people and I too am experiencing a little bit of a loose backplate.
Is this normal? Will it tighten up once I put the block on?

I noticed some washers included with the H100, can I use these or should I not?

It's normal. I noticed the same thing after installing the standoff screws but once the block is installed it's nice and tight, no movement. Just make sure you install the backplate with the notched side facing the top of the motherboard.

its typical to be loose at time even after the block is installed my friends was just fitted a nylon washer on the back (m4 size) tightened it wright up :)

if i had the washers handy then id fit them as you want equal pressure to hold block flush to cpu for max heat dissapation.

but theres nothing stopping you (if you have some spare thermal paste) fiiting the block and trying out and if your not happy with temps then you could re seat the block and add in the washers :)

Well just fitted the block on without washers and seems damn tight. Looks good so far....

Onwards with the build :)

Incidentally, how does the software control the fans on the radiator? Do you plug the fans into SYSFANS on the Mobo?

Also, I have opted to arrange the radiator and fan as follows

\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ Air Going In (Intake)
FanFanFan
Radiator

(The manual recommends intake but has the fans under the radiator which I thought is not going to be effective because the radiator has no direct air blowing onto it?)

plug the cable into the cpu block connect it to a usb header (if i remember correctly) and y our done, you do know if youre blowing the air through the rad into the case your filling you case with warm/hot air affecting your other components such as gfx and psu i have all my water cooling rads as exhaust :)

Ah plug the fans into the CPUFAN socket on the mobo?
And then connect what exactly to the USB header?

Hmm I can see your logic.

But surely it would be the same in EITHER Intake configuration?
So you're saying go with exhaust?

Would you have the fans exhaust THROUGH the radiator? Or put the fans on top of the radiator?

no you get a Y splitter in the box attach the fans to it and plug them into the cpu block then you get a wire plugs into the left hand side of teh cpu block that attachs to a usb header (you can put the fans to the mobo but that would allow the mobo to control them)

my set up is on the roof of my case and i have

pushing through from under to out what case do you have ?

Gotcha.

And concerning your configuration, are you saying you have as follows:

I didn't realise it had a bigger brother! What are the main differences?
(I bought the 750D on the recommendation of Doomedspeed - but love the case!)
