Just a quick question regarding setting up the H100i Platinum.

In the manual for cooler is say to connect to the CPU Fan connector on the motherboard.

In the manual for the motherboard it says for all in one connect the pump to the AIO_PUMP connector.

Do I assume I go with the motherboard instructions?

Thanks

Thanks and that sounds promising :)

It's worth checking the current on the cooler/pump. If over 1A, it's definitely worth going with the AIO/pump header as it will be able to deliver more current. Conversely if the pump needs PWM signal for speed, the AIO header may not send that.

What UnLuckyBenski said.

Motherboard AIO/pump fan header can handle higher load without burning out than CPU fan header.

I had to use the CPU fan header in the end as the BIOS kept reporting a CPU Fan error when it wasn't attached, the cooler has sata power too so not sure where most power comes from.

So the cable to the motherboard will have one or two wires then - speed reporting, and maybe PWM signal.

You can disable the CPU alarm if you want - but IMO with pumps it's good to have, in case it dies.
