i got a H100i and want to get some more suited fans for it most likely the Corsair sp120s, what would you all recommend, push, pull or push and pull?

push or pull make no difference its your call.
push and pull will run a little cooler but not a lot how ever you can slow the fans down and run quiet

NZXT Phantom so got plenty of room and i currently am running push pull but the pulling fans are 200mm as they came with the case so not optimal i guess, my temps dont go over 70 on a stress test and my fans do run quite fast at idle at the moment in this hot weather

if your push and pull fans are not equal, especially pressure wise you will likely get bad results. is there anywhere on the case to achieve this?

yeah it all fits to the top of the case and i can remove the 200mm fans and there is a bracket so i can attach it with 120mm fans on, i am running this as exhaust too and the other 4 fans around the case are intakes

push and pull will always be the best so it may be trial and error. 2 sp120's will only set you back £22 so I would give it a shot. whats the worst than can happen?

If you only run 2 fans, pull is best. There's usually zero difference between push and pull in performance, but pull traps FAR less dust between fan and rad.

I'm told that if you run push-pull, you want matched or lower speed fans pushing and higher speed ones pulling. Do it the other way around and you 'spoil' the airflow, as well as forcing the pull fans to run faster than they are designed to... apparently...

Aren't you supposed to run the. At the same speed?

So yes, the same speed or lower. Apparently having a higher speed pushing into a lower speed can damage the lower speed by making it run faster than it's supposed to, as well as spoiling/stalling the airflow which will reduce your potential performance.
