Generally speaking, what temperature difference am I likely to achieve by swapping out my H100i for a custom block? I'm currently getting max of 70c with Haswell clocked at 4.3ghz @ 1.185v.

Also, what should be the max coolant temperature in the H100i if the CPU is sitting at 70c?

Finally, I have a custom loop on my GPU and tube goes from res to pump via a Tee piece. The 3rd outlet of Tee piece goes to a drain, but to get my case cover on I have to bend the tube so it is kinked between T piece and drain outlet. Obviously the kink doesn't affect the flow in the loop, but I am unsure if having this kink would degrade the tube and cause a leak over time?

Hi iirc haswell is hot due to using a large amount of thermal paste between the die and lid rather than solder. A custom loop should be able to make a fair dent in those temps but it will still be hot.

Some people delid the chips but I'm not going to reccomend you do it as its dangerous. You'll have to make up your own mind on that one.

As for the kink it shouldn't be a problem unless your taking the cover on and off 100 times a day. It's more likly to split if its constantly being kinked/unkinked.

Hope this helps somewhat.

Thanks.

I'll run the chip overclocked at full load for an hour or two and see what the coolant peaks at. I definitely won't be delidding.
