Loving the performance of my h100i v2 so far, but the fans are gonna drive me up the wall. As soon as they have to spin up a bit they buzz like mad.

Need to look at changing them, any suggestions?
Pref black or black & grey fans.

The rest of my casexis decked with Aerocool DS Fans and those are great, would they be alright on the h100i? They are only 3pin

I have these on my rads:

They're the quiet edition, you can barely hear them up to 1000 rpm. Any static pressure fan will do tho. I think your aerocool fans are just case fans, so against a rad they won't be suitable.

3 or 4 pin (PWM) fans are fine, it just depends on the control method

Originally I was going to use that range in my case as it happens.
The aerocool fans I use claim to have a static pressure of 2.36 mm H20 (when running at full 2000rpm). That seems to be more than the corsairs, even though the aerocool offering doesn't state is an SP type fan... Am I missing something there ?

The DS fans are designed to be case fans, they can achieve decent static pressure performance, but only when run at very high rpms, which in turn will be very loud.

Look at the EK-Vardars,fans designed for rads so they have decent static pressure at comparatively lower rpms.Plus only about £10 each.

Your Aerocool DS fans will be very good with the H100i. I've tried them on a thicker H105 and they were great, so no trouble with the slimmer H100i.

They are not loud at all on max. Bear in mind there's a European and an American variant. The latter has a higher max RPM and so are louder.
