Quick question, would a H100i cooler fit in a Corsair 650D case without mods?

Also do you think it would improve the temps of a 4770 Haswell currently running on air @4.5GHz 1.25v.
Temps currently seem to hit between 65-75c, this is with a Samuel 7 heatsink & SP120 PE fan.

Do you think it would drop temps to around 60c under load, or am I being optimistic?

Thinking of this as a stop gap until I go for a full custom loop at the end of the year.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I idle around 32-35c, so I'm guessing I might struggle to get 60c.

Is it possible to change the pipes on the cooler as well, thought about adding clear pipes & changing the water to coloured. just for added effect. :D

Well the H100i is installed, but I'm not sure it's installed correctly.
Idle temps are around 27-30c but load temps are up around 85c.

Rad & pipes are quite cool to touch, so I'm guessing the block isn't making great contact with the CPU.
Re-seated it twice &re-applied artic silver, but not seen much of a change yet.

Also, whats the best fan arrangment for this, I've currently got the fans as intakes pulling air through the rad.
Would it be better as exhausts, blowing through the rad?

Well re-seated again & run a couple of benchmarks & temps are around 60-65c across the cores.

Edit - spoke to soon, back to 80c+

Thanks for the reply, I'm going to swop the fans round to exhaust tonight as I think this is a better setup.
Still a little concerned about the load temps though, as on air I was hitting around 70-75c & already I've seen 80+ while running Firestrike.

Going to reseat the block again tonight and try again.

Re-seated the block again & turned the fans around & still no good. under prime temps on core are showing high 90c, while the water temps are showing as low 30c.

Something not right somewhere. :(

Sorry for the late update, been away on holiday.

Problem was the block wasn't making great contact with the CPU. I changed the motherboard screws for some I happened to have lying around & they are much better.

It will do until I move to a full custom WC setup next year.
