Hi all just installed this new cooler. Idle temps are about 31 and IBT tests hitting 87 max! Realbench after 30 mins or so is settling in the he mid 70s are these OK? I was expecting a bit more from this cooler! My OC is 4.2GHz at 1.23V.

Several of the top air coolers are better than the top CLCs making many times as much noise... Slow down the CLC fans to same sound level as air and air is 508c better.

I have an H105 cooling a 4790K clocked at 4.7GHz at 1.223V. Fans are about 55%, temps are around 65-70 degrees on AIDA64 full load.

Yes, the revised Devil's Canyon package does help thermals, but I'd say the H105 is more than capable of sucking up all your heat. but boy does the pump buzz like a bitch.

I've also got an H105, and am using it to cool my AMD FX8350. I get idle temps of around 17 degrees and at full load it's never gone above 40 degrees. I do have a HAF X case tho, with a 230mm intake in the front and a 200mm intake in the side. Twin 200mm exhausts in the roof and a 140mm exhaust at the rear. On and it's only running at 4.2ghz, which will obviously help.

In all fairness if you do take off the AIO and inspect the CPU and the factory applied thermal paste on the bottom of the pump, you should get a good idea if it has been sitting correctly.
