I'm soon to be building a new machine, so am spending a lot of time looking at instruction manuals and watching YouTube videos.
Something I noticed on a H115i install video, was that the USB Link cable that connects to the USB header on the mb actually goes in the wrong direction from the plug, towards the rear of the case, rather than towards the nice routing holes the most cases have next to the mb. The 180 degree bend to get the cable going in the right direction just doesn't sit well with me....dammit, I'm doing this one properly!
Anyway, my solution to this massively OCD-inducing issue, is to just buy a mini USB extension, which goes in the right direction, and can be routed in a tidy fashion. I'll connect the corsair cable to it out of sight round the back.
Two questions.
1) That should work, right?
2) Do I need a left or a right angle on the extension cable?
