when I put the AIO pump onto the board and tighten, one side always goes at an angle. is this ok or should i keep trying to get them both upright perfectly?

The AM4 mounts for recent Corsair coolers do bow a bit, alarmingly so the first time you see it. It's normal though, its to achieve mounting pressure. The H100i mount bows both sides though, worth having a read of the manual again, I recall it was mentioned (both coolers have the same manual)
