I'm running an Asus Z370-G motherboard in a NZXT H400i case and wanted to add 3 more SSDs from my old system on top of the M.2 and 3.5" mechanical drives already in there. From a motherboard point of view its no problem with its 6 SATA headers but the cable shroud which hides the cabling lines up perfectly with the SATA ports, rendering 3 of them inaccessible - as I now need to use four of the ports it looks like a pretty dumb design given that the majority of M/Bs have their SATA ports in the same place. I know I can remove the shroud and get round this but the fact they designed it in a way which prevents use of all drive positions in the case isn't impressive. I don't want to remove the mechanical drive as its useful for bulk storage so I guess I'm stuck with removing the shroud and the cables being on view.
Has anyone else had this issue with NZXT cases or am I missing something really obvious and need to go and stand in the corner with my dunses hat on?
