I was recently thinking of getting the Corsair H50 for my new build but wasnt sure how well it would work in either a Lian Li X2000 or x500 case as they dont seem to have many outtakes on the rear? Could it be mounted on one of the front slots with dual fans (push/pull)? Any help would be greatful as havent got cases yet anyway but dont really want to change the case as like the design.

Thanx

Sorry, just saw this thread. It looks like the X500 has a 120mm exhaust case fan - so the H50 should work fine (you don't need to run it as an intake - it just makes it a few degrees cooler).

The X2000 however seems to use 140mm fans throughout - so I imagine you can't mount the H50 without some form of 140mm to 120mm adapter.

Can I assume you got the X2000 based on your second post?

No not yet but is most likely going to be the case as like the extra space it provides. Saying that its rather expensive compared to x500 and i just prefer the idea of having it mounted on the front. TBH i dont know what to get, it needs to be big enough to fit everything in and be able to fit under my glass desk without sticking out the front miles (hense Lian Li cases).

Oh and also black interior lol.

I'm pretty sure the H50 can't be mounted to the front of the case. For one thing, the tubes arn't long enough.

However, you can get a Prolimatech Megahalems or Noctua D14 - they are air coolers but they perform just as well as the H50.
