ok, so i want to get my cooler ordered on monday, not decided which to get as the Antec Kúhler H2O 620 CPU Watercooler is still not in stock, so as i dont need imense cooling thought i might just go for the H50 as its cheapest, but OCUK seem to advertise different prices, and obviously i would prefer to get it for the cheaper one ;)

the dearer one is correct....the cheaper one will have been a this week only special but they have forgot to change the pictured headers.....the correct price is always beside the item in its section

yeh they confirmed the higher price is the correct one, which is fair enough.
im soo tempted, but i dont wanna spend £56 and wish i had gone for the H70 or waited for the Antec to come back in, or even spend the £3 extra for the CoolIT :( too many options

the H50 is a good unit for the price. I'd suggest swapping the stock fan for something a little less noisy though. it was a little noisy when turned up past 70% then i realised below that the noisyest thing was the psu! :( thats going next! >:(

try a gentle typhoon or akasa apache black/viper

yeh will do down the line, hopefully i wont need it up too high anyways as temps are 'safe' on stock cooler, just a bit high for everyday use. my HD6850 is a bit of a noisey little thing too, but to be honest where it is i dont really hear it as im quite a distance away from it :)

The h50 is a pretty good cooler "i build for OCUK". I do feel it should perform a lot better than it does. Like Nibbles said, get a better fan for it like a Sharkoon 1000rpm.

For the price though, you cant go wrong.

yeh changing fans aint a problem, neither is the noise to be honest, i dont sit close to the tower and speakers tend to drown out any fan noise.
i want whatever i get to be ok for when i do my BD build, so dont want to get one that 'will do' want to get one thats 'good'

I saw that too :D The guys in Sales are funny.
In my build i have a Prolimatech Megahalems Rev B CPU Cooler
Even though my cpu is an i3 540 2.98 @ 4.84 The temps are really low. Even though it is a 32nm. I do prefer the look of the Megahalems as it takes half of my case up :D

at the moment i have a 555 BE OC'd to 3.8GHz, i have had it running unlocked to tri-core @ 3.9GHz but temps go up very quickly.

Yea, a Prolimatech Megahalems Rev B CPU Cooler will be better to be honist than a h50. It could be better than a H70 but it all depends on the heat output of you chip.

If it was me and u wanted it to look nice. I would create a proper water loop With an EK watercooling block. They do look nice but they are a little more expensive.

not bothered about looks, as its a sealed case, so clear panels. just want to to be as cool as possible, but also dont want to loose any ram slots.
