H50 should it have air in ?

Hi all

I have just taken delivery of my H50 cooler, have to sat its bigger than i imagined for some reason, How ever should the Rad have air in it ? if i shake the rad gently i can clearly hear a fair ammount of air in it, Is this normal ? i would have thought it should have no air in it. what are your thoughts ?
I wont get chance untill tonight to try it out

Mine has a bit of air in it.

It seems fine once the thing is up and running though.

ah cheers i will intall it later and see what my temps do, The stock intel cooler is 57c in the bios !

ouch, that doesn't sound right if the chip is at stock...

When you put the H50 on keep the original TIM, it's supposed to be rather good stuff. It helps to have a mate to hold it still as you do the screws up as that stop the cooler moving and introducing bubbles at the interface which reduce performance.

Air is noise in watercooling, (cavitation).

also does not help in cooling.

well the chip is at 4ghz but the temp never really went up from stock that i seem to remember,

It isn't ideal, but there isn't a lot you can do on this sealed system.
