h50, thermal compound

I have a H50 sitting here, brand new, waiting to be put on my Q6600 & a new tube of MX-3. Should I stick with the stock paste or clean it off and put some MX-3 on?

I have no TIM cleaner, so that could factor into the decision.

Been asked many times in the massive H50 thread matey. It's decent enough TIM, so leave it on. Brand is Shin-Etsu. Oh, and you need at least isopropyl alcohol or TIM cleaner to remove TIM, otherwise don't bother as if it's not totally clean you'll probably make things worse.

Aye it's good stuff to be fair i reseated mine 3 times one using stock paste then with AS5 which made the temps go up then MX-3 which made the temps the same as the original paste so.. yes it's good stuff.
