Hello,

Just wanted to ask if my CPU temps are fine. As you can see from my SIG, I'm using HAFx case, push/pull exhaust on H50 and i5 2500k. I've done very little overclocking, 4.0 Ghz. My idle temps are about 37/38/39 degrees celsius. When initialy installing the H50, I had to press it aganist the CPU and then turn. Did that somehow screw up the paste, or are these temps normal?

Any support is greatly appreciated.

idle temps dont seem to vary a huge amount from cooler to cooler, its the load temps that matter.
pressing it down shouldnt of done too much to the paste, so i wouldnt worry about that unless the temps go silly high under load.
so whack prime through it and see what temps you get.

Alright, I'll run Prime when I get home and see what temps I get. What are the normal temps I should be getting if you have any idea?

think a lot of people are getting temps in the 60s with those coolers whilst priming, and in the 40s-50s whilst gaming. considering 98c is MAX then thats a lot of headroom for hot days :p

those temps sound about right. i remember when i fitted a sealed water system to a friends pc it mentioned something about re-tightening the screws after a week or so.

Does this seem okay?

Well, when Idling I'm about 36/37. Don't see how you got it so so low to 19 :). Its just normal room Temp, not too hot or too cold.

I've got the H50 with p/p and a 2500K.

I'm running mine at 4.2Ghz with 1.21V and my idle temps are between 32 celcius and 38 depending on which core. The last core on CPU-Z is always the hottest.

Under a prime95 test of about 3 hours I was maxing temps of about 65 celcius. Using MX-4 thermal comound.

yes, if you had a magic motherboard that measured the temperature from that point  all software temp moitors monitor from a different part, therefore the max temp is different. the MAX temp that SOFTWARE will read is 98c.
intel quote Tcase max, software read TJ Core max, completly different readings. but hey ho, you obviously did your research and i must indeed be wrong.
