H60 nightmare

Went to build my new rig today and the blooming H60 doesnt work (well does work but the tmep are going through the roof 100c+ and rising from boot up. Then my new cpu has bent pins and the seal on the box was open when i opened it today.

bad luck but it sounds like you didnt seat the H60 need to make sure the teeth lock in properly.

I fitted the H60 properly I used a H50 on my old machine and read the instructions so I know how to fit it.

More gutted about the cpu tbh.

How did the CPU work if the pins are bent?

Sometimes its just vcc/gnd pins that are bent... but if this is the case I don't know why he's gutted...?

if your measuring temp with an external probe make sure your not shorting anything, never turn anything on if it has bent pins. You could well be drawing loads of power from your mobo and this could be causing the heat, never heard of this happening but I suppose its possible...

No neither were from ocuk wish i had gone with ocuk I know i would have got working items from them but went cheap somewhere else. O well we live and learn next time pay a bit more and get decent service and items.
