H60 why did i wait so long

Thinking of getting something like this in the future and I have a question. These are supposedly "zero maintenance" but I thought water cooling loops needed topping up every now and then due to evaporation. So how do these units avoid this? Do they perform worse over time or perhaps they use a liquid that doesn't evaporate at the temperatures seen in CPUs?

The Corsairs use hoses made of a material with a much lower evaporation rate compared to rubber, so it'll take quite a long time for enough to dissipate for one to notice. Couldn't put a figure on it really, not heard of anybody doing it. If you want it done you send it to Corsair I believe as you'll kill the warranty if you open it yourself.

well ive set myself a renewal date...you get 2 years warranty and for the price if can get 2 yrs ill be happy reguardless ill change in 2yrs anyway just to be safe....

Plec where do you live mate are you in the uk.

In a village on the outskirts of Dartmoor - very peaceful usually - radon gas and rogue ponies are usually our only concerns.

I'm almost certain that it was a large 'controlled' undeground explosion - as to why or where though i've yet to find out.

Still, it seems to have given the locals something to talk about...

They have a 5 year warranty. Corsair increased it from 2 years in May 2011 (for both existing purchasers and new customers).

Yep, a premium air cooler will always beat an entry/mid level all-in-one water. But they're easy to fit and great if you move your rig a lot.

Although i prefer the Silver Arrow myself ;)
