Hi, I have a H70 laying around and I wanted to make it look a little cooler.

So, my I had a plan to add a reservoir and some new tubing.

I have a reservoir with a pump built in. But as the H70 has one built into the cpu block, I was wondering if it was possible to use them together.

If not, is there a work around?

Its not that important, it'll only be going on my PC if it is any good.

tl;dr

Can you have dual/multiple pumps in a basic watercooling loop?

Thanks for any feedback.

It's pointless.

If your ant to make it look cool, get proper liquid cooling.

You should be able to do it, but as I said, it's pointless and stupid.

Depends on what you are doing it for really.... if you are looking for real world performance increase... then perhaps....

If you are doing it just for a manly 'what if' muck around, just cos you can and fancy a few hours 'under the hood' as it were.... they why not!

no point potentially breaking a £60+ cooler just to have a muck around.

just sell it second hand and get a watercooling kit instead.

The h70 block would slow your bay res pump down to much, Thus It's pointless and you would just make the bay res pump life a lot shorter, they're not equal flow rates so the faster pump has to work much harder.

agree with jorzeh all depends on the flow rate of the pumps if pumps were equal then it would help to keep the water moving at each end of the loop, if your wanting looks then go for a custom water build rather than self contained :)
