H70 Pump : Running?

Hi,

I've got 1 x fan and the H70 pump (I'm right in thinking the pump is contained in connected to a SYS_FAN1 on my Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3, the fan is running but I can't hear the pump.

Temps seem fine but I guess I'd thought I'd hear the pump running?

I've thought this before, the pump is very quiet, i've even touched mine to try and feel vibrations. but it's still showing as running at 1400rpm so i guess all is in working order.

Hi, the pump needs 12v to work properly have you got a power header as they supply 12v, the pump on my H50 was very quiet.

Hi, again as long as your temps are ok, if the pump is quiet thats a bonus m8.

Gotta admit i just installed same cooler today and thought the same, but after putting a nice OC on it and seeing great tempts it must be doing something

Can anybody recommend so quieter fans, for the radiator, the Corsair ones seem unnecessarily loud!

I use Apache Blacks. Not only are they good fans, but they're also PWM so they're quiet when they're not needed.

If you're looking around the ~£10 the Akasa AK-FN057 Apache Super Silent 120mm Fan are good value i would also recommend Sharkoon Silent Eagles.

I just use a couple of Apache's on mine, work a treat.
