Just getting round to fitting my H80 onto an i7 on a ROG Rampage IV Formula question is should the rad fans be fitted push/pull blowing out the case or push/pull drawing in cold fresh air...

Mine are exhausting out of the case, temps are pretty good, I imagine it'll only be a couple of degrees difference if you mount it the other way anyway.

Out of the case, or case temp would go up a handful of degrees under extended periods of load. However like killswitch imagines, it doesn't make a huge difference. So if the mounting is really awkward tubing wise, you wont stand to lose much mounting it the other way.

I cleaned my 920 the other day and accidentally put the fans on the wrong way round, I did it so they are both pulling air into the rad, they were in push / pull but the cpu cores are around 5*C cooler with them both being in pull so will leave it for now.

Hi Adam123 my fans are in push/pull blowing out of the case due to most people say thats the way to do it but i work on cars and the fan there always blows or sucks fresh cold air through the rad. With the push/pull blowing out the case and only windows and seti@home running at 60% my temps are around 53Deg maxing at 59Deg...

I had mine pushing out sucking in and so on ..but in the end I gave up using it....went back to using a phanteks air cooler and my idle temps are nearly 10c lower :)
