Hi,

Built my rig about 6 months ago using an H60 on a i7 2600k @ 4.3 Ghz.

I want to go to 4.7 Ghz so decided to buy a H100 for my 650D. I much prefer the idea of venting hot air directly out the top etc...

Only prob is today while researching how to set it up and install it, i see there are 'issues' with it on numerous forums. Never had any with my H60 and it performs well, so didn't occur to me the newer coolers could have probs.

So... any H80/H100 owners who have theirs running smoothly?

Feel nervous now and going to have to watch it like a hawk for a while incase it dies.. or i can just abort this particular upgrade and stick with what i have...

Thanks to all.

From experience...

- Make sure it fits in your case
- Cross your fingers that you dont get a dud with a rattling pump
- if you want to go push>pull make sure you have a huge amount of room at the top (if that is where it's going to be mounted)
- Buy some gentle typhoon 1850's because the stock fans are leaf blowers on full blast.

Can't comment on the typhoons as I have apaches on mine, but to the OP I've had no issues at all. Idles about 10C above ambient (ambient being roughly 20C) and full load (i5-2500k) at 5.2GHz sees 75C, full load at 4.7GHz sees 68C.

I have a h80 and its been running great, untill this week!the pump is failing, its running 4000rpm and corsair say its on its way out. , im taking it in today to be tested and swapped. Whilst im there im changing the fans from the loud stock ones to some gentle typhoons 1850rpm's im thinking. They are in stock where im going .
