Hey I just got my h80i from UPS and well, 2 of the fin's on the bottom middle are damaged.

I havn't got a picture but its basically like this

https://www.box.com/s/d790r91ftp24nwocvksd

2 of the little fin's are pushed down in a way which I can't stick something in between them and straight them out, they are over the top of each other.

Anyway will this cause any problems? I didn't pay for the cooler (won it) so yeh.....I'm reluctant to RMA it just for this ^^ even more so when I'm putting it all together next week.
Also I intended to plug the thing into my current motherboard to test it before my new mb (ASRock Z77E-ITX) gets here, but....the sata connector...isn't a sata connector....or is it? I have no idea, in the manual it says connect to psu....o_o. It says Sata Power on the connector.

Edit: found a pic http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f262/apacheizm23/h80i_power_connector_zps4d2249aa.png

Where I'm I supposed to plug that in? o_o

Dude you need to connect that to a sata power cable. As for the fins I don't know as I only just got the h80i myself yesterday.

I don't have one ( in the bag of modular cables )
Surely corsair should supply what is needed to run one of their coolers on their own power supplys?

That damage is minor I have similar damage I done to my RS240 rad and as far as I know it makes no difference if the damage extends with the fin being pierced then it could be a issue but it just being bent is fine. I also had similar damage on my old h40 rad no issues there also. Just leak test it and then you be sure if it is a problem or not.

So what's powering your hard drives? Have you used every SATA power connector your PSU has available?

I don't understand?
The connector that is plugged into my hard drive, is completely different...http://www.corsair.com/en/media/cat...525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/c/o/connectors_4_5.png

Am I just being very very stupid here?

Also ok thanks jashon, yeh its just bent.

EDIT: NVM, yes I'm stupid -_- the connector fits in the same place the hard drives plug into, why didn't I see that????????????

Anyway thanks q_q

When I briefly had a H80i a little while ago, I also received mine with 2 or 3 of the finds slightly damaged/bent inwards. I did too suspect that this could be quite a serious issue and was contemplating RMA'ing it for a replacement but in the end I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of having to wait for another one and put it down to an issue during the manufacturing stages and decided to proceed on and soon forgot about it.

It never caused any issues for me and temperatures were still showing great results. It's just a shame that a few days later when I received my upgrade SP120 fans that during re-assembly with them, 2 of the screws threads on the back of the rad had totally sheared through due to poor design/weak thread & screw combination and I then did have to RMA it

Ok thanks LEK!

One connector is male the other is female. They'll fit together.

Yeh I just realized q_q I'm an idiot.

EDIT: I just powered it up and the pump is silent, when I put my ear close to the cpu part, I can hear a bussing sound but only when I put my ear like...1cm away from it, I'm guessing this is normal pump noise?

lol :D as long as you can hear a noise that is good. ::p

How many things can you plug into one sata cable?
My cables have 4 connectors on, 1 in my hard drive, 1 in my SSD, would it be ok to use one of them for the h80i too? or use a separate cable? :P
